What's Going On?

There have been at least 2 laboratory confirmed cases of measles. The Milwaukee Health Department is recommending everyone be current on their measles (MMR)vaccination.

Program committment

Health care and service to the community are important parts of patient care and resident education at St. Joseph Family Medicine Residency Program. Our community medicine program is thriving and successful. With a dedicated full-time community nurse, our program continues to grow. Residents and medical students have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to its ongoing success. Community medicine programs include:

• Involvement with local sports physicals and team support

• Patient Advisory Council

• Teen Maternity Care Program

• Ongoing collaboration with local daycare,
elementary and high schools

• Collaborations with local churchs

• Collaboration with Domestic Violence Center

• Diabetic and immunizations projects

• Community Care For the Elderly

• Books Are For Families Program
